Conveniently located on the spectacular Point Grey peninsula, Wesbrook Village offers events and activities for the whole family.

"We have more than 200 events every year," says Christine Chan, Director of Marketing for Wesbrook Village.  "Some are seasonal, like Easter, Halloween, or Holiday events, and others are drop-in programs organized by the Welcome Centre, our shops and services, or the Wesbrook Community Centre."

Catch a leprechaun, read a story, run a trail, or get involved in a trivia quiz at BierCraft Restaurant. Wesbrook Village offers an eclectic array of events that are open to everyone.

An event not to be missed is the Wesbrook Village Festival held in September of each year. Billed as a "block party for over 6,000 people," the event features a free BBQ, live music, a rock-climbing wall, and kid's zone in addition to stalls by local artisans and community groups.

"We had people coming from as far away as Surrey and Coquitlam for last year's festival," Christine says. "It's always great fun and the best thing is that it's free. Our Wesbrook Village Festival is a wonderful way to have an affordable day out for the whole family."

December saw Wesbrook host a unique balloon display with some balloon structures reaching seven feet tall.

"For two weeks in December we filled the Wesbrook Welcome Centre with thousands of balloons," laughs Christine. "We also had carolers, balloon twisters, face painting, a scavenger hunt, and the Community Centre hosted a craft market full of unique items from a number of local artisans."

But it's not just the traditional events that set Wesbrook Village apart; just about every day there's something going on.

"The Running Room puts on a free Walk and Talk in the forest every Wednesday," Christine says, "or there are free trail runs. The Welcome Centre features Story Time and Baby Time for the little ones, and our free movie events with popcorn and juice are always popular."

All events and activities are open to everyone. Wesbrook Village is located on Vancouver's Westside, just minutes from downtown and can be easily reached by vehicle, bike, or public transport.
