Our coverage

It's been an odd election cycle, with parties re-writing the campaign playbook, a series of internet-driven controversies and at least one bright spot where candidates of different stripes came together to speak as one.

Some have cast this election as a foregone conclusion, while others have pointed to some Tri-City ridings as potential choke points in either of the two major parties' paths to victory.

Many of you have already cast your vote and are among the hundreds of thousands of British Columbians who have changed the nature of this year’s election. The Tri-City News is reporting that that could lead to some unsatisfactory results.

Our reporters will also be on the ground (at a reasonable distance), speaking with candidates and capturing the night as it unfolds. We’ll be updating you with vote counts throughout the night as they come in.

Check in with our BC Votes 2020 interactive results map that will beam vote tallies to your homes from across the province all night long.

IMPORTANT NOTE / NOTE TO READERS about mail-in ballots: Due to the anticipated number of mail-in ballots, the election night vote count will not be complete. The Canadian Press will continue to publish updated riding results to the map and banners as available until counting is complete
