Quilts By The Bay
The Boundary Bay Quilters Guild presents its sixth show, Quilts By The Bay, on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 at the South Delta Recreation Centre.
In addition to hundreds of quilts on display, there will be a Merchant’s Mall, Guild Boutique, featured quilter, raffle quilts and raffle baskets, live entertainment and much more. The show is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days and admission is $6.

Cinco Saturday
Cinco Saturday will be celebrated at the Ladner Legion on Saturday, May 4.
May 5 is actually Cinco de Mayo, but the Legion is celebrating a day early with special guest and Ladner resident Jose Pesquera, co-star of the A&E TV series (The Liquidators) where he will call numbers, and make announcements during the 4:30 p.m. meat draw. He will also make himself available to meet fans, members and guests at the end of the draw.
Entertainment for Friday, May 3 and Saturday night is Cheek to Cheek fresh off their recent sold out Salute to the 60’s show at the Legion. Showtime is 8:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Climb for Kids
The fifth edition of the Climb for Kids fundraiser in support of BC Children’s Hospital, will take place on Saturday, May 4 at Fred Gingell Park in Tsawwassen.
Dave Lemire and a group of his coworkers from the Tsawwassen Save-On-Foods are putting on the fundraiser event, which will see Lemire climb the park’s stairs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Delta firefighters’ charitable society, who have been on hand every year, will be back again putting on a barbecue starting at 11 a.m.

Just Imagine
Delta Choral Society presents Just Imagine on Saturday, May 11 with shows at 2 and 7 p.m. at the South Delta Baptist Church (1988, 56th St.).
The concert will feature four incredible choirs to stir the emotions and elevate your soul.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors/students and free for children under 10. Tickets are available in advance at www.deltachoral.ca, from choir members or at the door. The venue is wheelchair accessible with ample parking.
