Earlier this year approval was given for enhancements to the park, including the addition of shade structures adjacent to the existing water play park, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen.

A staff report notes council also approved a provision of $40,000 to undertake the enhancements with the club providing matching funds of $40,000 for a total project budget of $80,000.

The city previously partnered with the club for the water play park, which was completed in 2011, and a musical playground that opened in 2017.
