Deltassist Family and Community Services is hosting an event to celebrate the start of the Christmas season and support a worthy cause.

Christmas Prelude is a family event happening on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Deltassist’s North Delta headquarters, 9097 Scott Rd.

Enjoy yummy food, hot chocolate and apple cider, crafts, Santa letters and visits from some special VIP guests. Get your shopping started early and enter to win for door prizes, silent auction items, raffle prizes and the 50/50 draw. End the night helping light Deltassist’s Holiday Forest.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for kids (children under two are free). The price of the ticket includes food, craft items and a door prize ticket. Space is limited so call to register and purchase your tickets. Those who bring a new unwrapped toy or gift for a teen to support Deltassist’s Toy Depot will receive an extra door prize ticket.

Proceeds go to support Deltassist’s Alternatives to Violence Program and the new Mindfulness Yoga Service to help facilitate a sense of well-being and balance for those who have experienced acute or prolonged trauma.

Contact Zoe Sehn or Pam Turner at 604-594-3455 or [email protected] for more information or to donate. Or drop by during office hours (9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) to purchase tickets.
