Earth Day photo contest

Celebrate Earth Day and Delta’s diverse environment with the 12th annual Earth Day photo contest.

As part of the 2020 Earth Day celebrations, residents are invited to participate.

This year's theme is Trees in Delta. Submit a photo that showcases trees in the community and be entered to win.

The grand prize is a waterproof digital camera, with secondary prizes of gift cards, photo mugs and recreation passes.

Photos will be displayed at municipal hall in Ladner throughout the month of April and awards will be presented to the winners at a regular meeting of Delta council.

There are several categories including: youth (ages five to 11), teen (ages 12 to 17), and adult (18-plus).

To enter, email your unaltered photo (.jpg format) to: cae@delta.ca. Include the title of the photo, photographers’ name, category entered and contact information. Entries will be accepted until March 26.

All Delta residents are eligible, however, only one photo per person can be submitted.

Three winners from each category will be selected from among all eligible entries received.  One grand prize winner will be chosen out of all eligible entries received.

Judging will be conducted by City of Delta mayor and/or council and/or staff.

A fan favorite photograph will also be chosen from Facebook based on the number of ‘likes’ received. Residents may also vote at City Hall where the photos will be displayed.
