- South Delta Senior's Travel offers a Cloud 9 fireworks and dinner on Wednesday, July 28. It costs $79 for members and $84 for non-members. SPECIAL EVENTS
- Come celebrate the new 146-acre addition to the Lily Point Marine Reserve on Sunday, June 27, beginning at 10 a.m. A variety of walking tours for all ages will be available. The two-year young marine reserve park is located in Point Roberts. For more information, call Samantha at 604-838-7956.
- Canada Day at Kirkland House in Ladner. There will be lots of music, food and activities for the whole family from noon to 5 p.m. Check out all the updates to this very special heritage home.
- The Ladner Christian Reformed Church is hosting its annual Canada Day picnic with food, fun and games in the field at Delta Christian School. Kids games begin at 10:30 a.m. Lunch at noon by donation. Everyone welcome.
ARTS
- Soprano Rhonwen Derbez and pianist Karen Lee-Morlang present Chere Nuit, Songs of Evening and Dreams, a recital of songs by Schumann, Strauss, Faure and more, on Sunday, June 27 at 7 p.m. at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre. Tickets are $15 or $12 for students and seniors. Call 604-943-9787.
