One local company will have its name on a room at the Little House in Tsawwassen after committing financial support. Westshore Terminals has committed to donate $5,000 per year over the next three years to the society. In return, the Little House decided to name its training room after Westshore.

"Westshore's philosophy is to give back to the community, and we do so by contributing to worthy local causes," said David Honsberger, director of human resources for

Westshore. "We are proud to support the Little House as it provides a unique service and much needed resources to the community, and does it very well."

Honsberger said after the three years are up, the company will revisit the contribution.

Little House Society president Jim Stimson said the money will go a long way toward helping the society fulfill its mandate to develop, integrate and measure educational strategies related to the prevention and intervention of substance abuse and abstinence-based treatment of addiction.

"We are thrilled to have members of the corporate sector in Delta now providing financial support to help us with programming," Stimson said. "We had some 125 local companies donate products and services to help build the facility and now as the society turns its attention to providing services to the community, the support of local businesses is much appreciated as we move forward. We are very grateful to Westshore."
