Check out some fun and engaging STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) related learning experiences at your local Delta library.
Future engineers, let your creativity go wild at Tsawwassen Library’s Intro to Magformers on Wednesday, May 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
Discover the power of magnets in a safe environment as you build 3D shapes from the simple to the complex. Walking robots, spinning spacecraft – the ideas are limitless!
On Wednesday, May 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm at the Ladner Pioneer Library, meet the Ozobots – the pocket-sized robots that come with infinite ways to play, create and share.
At Tech-Up with Ozobots, learn to program by drawing coloured lines on paper.
These cute little robots will follow the lines and respond to colour codes by changing their speed, direction or LED light colour. Once you learn the basics, you can program these robots through a series of challenges using drag-and-drop coding.
This interactive program is a great introduction to coding, computational thinking and digital exploration for kids in grades 4 to 6.
Presented in partnership with Science World British Columbia.
