TOOB (Tsawwassen Order of Old Bastards) wants the community to know that their group is here to offer financial support in this time of need.

TOOB is a non-profit group of volunteers who have served the needs of South Delta since 1984. Their mission is to help people and families in need and other charitable causes.

Member Dave Stanton said in recent weeks they have provided support to both the South Delta and Point Roberts’ food banks.

“In these unusual times we are focusing our efforts to help South Delta residents that find themselves in need of financial assistance due to the effects of COVID-19,” said Stanton. “We realize that there may be individuals and other organizations we can provide assistance to.”

In the past TOOB has supported such community organizations as REACH, KinVillage, Delta Hospice, Canadian Mental Health and the Delta Hospital and Community Foundation.

“If people just need a top-up for groceries or maybe it’s getting a little money to help a family purchase some computer equipment for home schooling let say,” he said. “We have about 70-plus guys in the group, most at the retirement age. We know that many out there are in need of support now and will be in need in the future as well.”

If you have a need, large or small, where you think we may be able to help with a donation please let TOOB know by contacting them at: [email protected].
