Oliver! at DSS

There are two performances left for Delta Secondary’s production of Oliver!. The classic tale of an orphan will be on the Genesis Theatre stage Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for all seats.

Black & White Show at Stir

The Dioptiks Photography Collective is having an opening for The Black & White Show at Stir Coffee House in Ladner Village tonight (Friday) starting at 6 p.m. The show features work by Ronan Considine Photography, Radina Photography, Tyler Garnham Photography, Andrea Frustaci and Rick Pelletier. Snacks and refreshments will be served and the coffee bar will be open as well. If you can’t make the opening, be sure to drop by this weekend and the days following and check it out.

Seedy Saturday

A new garden season opens full of hope and promise with the annual Ladner Seedy Saturday & Garden Expo.

Hosted by the Ladner Community Garden Society, Seedy Saturday returns from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at All Saints Anglican Church (4755 Arthur Dr.).

The event will feature many garden vendors, the ever-popular seed swap and guest speakers.

Comedy night

South Delta Storm Bantam A2 and Peewee A1 hockey teams present their third annual Comedy Night fundraiser Saturday at Beach Grove Golf Club. Tickets are $65 per person and include dinner and Yuk Yuk’s comedy show, auction, DJ and dancing. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Partial proceeds will also support the 18th Man Project by One4Another Charity. For tickets call Tara at 604-992-5100 or Michelle at 778-938-2422.

’20s dancing

Shari’s Saturday Social Dance is at KinVillage Community Centre in Tsawwassen this Saturday from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The theme is The Roaring ’20s. Dress style optional, but dressing for the theme is always welcome. Dance to a wide variety of great CD music. Tickets are $12 for members, $14 for guests.
