Are you a newcomer to town? Welcome Wagon is a greeting service that provides helpful civic information along with introductory gifts from local businesses that take part in the program.

Local representatives Sandi Piggot and Joadey Caldwell take care of the South Delta area and drop by to visit new residents.

Information handouts include recreation centre guides, maps and details on local libraries, seniors' centres and more, says Piggot. "We just have things that are helpful to people," she says.

"We're always looking for new sponsors to be on the program," notes Caldwell.

Piggot also looks after Welcome Wagon's baby program in Ladner and Tsawwassen for moms already living in the area with new babies.

Welcome Wagon has operated since 1930.
