Filmmaker Jason Mills’ new movie Bigfoot Country will be shown next week in Vancouver.

Ladner filmmaker Jason Mills has a showing scheduled next week for his new adventure/horror flick.

Bigfoot Countrytells a story about a group of hikers who go into the woods, despite being warned not to, and encounter a Sasquatch.

The independent movie marks Mills’ fifth feature film. It was filmed last summer in Ladner and Chilliwack and Mills, 34, says it was probably the most fun he’s had on set.

His wife Kiana Passmore played a lead role in the movie.

She says it was an intense experience with a small timeframe to get it done but that the actors and crew worked well together and made it happen.

The film will be shown at The Cinematheque in Vancouver next Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door. Bigfoot Country is also available through Walmart, Mills says.
