That’s what The Chopped Leaf location in Tsawwassen will be offering for much of December as it features the works of three South Delta Artists. Gary Nay’s paintings will be showcased from Dec. 1-7, followed by Jan Rankin (Dec. 8-14) and Natalie Way (Dec. 15-21). Their works will be for sale with a wide range of sizes and price points.

Chopped Leaf owner Svetlana Loif was inspired to reach out to the art community after watching Way work on a couple of murals at the Tsawwassen Shopping Centre back in September where her franchise is located.

“This is the idea we came up with,” said Loif. “I think it’s good for the community to do something like this and it’s a win-win situation for both of us.”

While the South Delta trio have their paintings regularly featured at the Arts of Main Gallery in East Vancouver, local opportunities have been few and far between due to show cancellations from COVID-19. Among them was the annual For the Love of Art in South Delta that would have been held in early November at Harris Barn.

“That is a big thing for us in a beautiful location,” said Way. “All three of us do social media but we really like people to see our art in the community.”

Each of the artists will be also be spending a day at Chopped Leaf during their exhibit.

“Maybe we should look at doing a series with local businesses just to connect the art and business communities little bit more,” added Way. “It’s important right now to get creative in everything we do.”
