It will be a day of fun for you and your furry friends.

The ninth annual Delta Community Animal Expo promises fun for the whole family this Sunday in Ladner Memorial Park.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is a free event.

Bring your leashed friendly dog(s) and have a great time at the park participating in games, trying watching dog agility shows, enjoying food trucks and meeting some amazing exotic animals and pets for adoption.

The BC & Alberta Guide Dogs Blindfold Walk and Paws 2 Dance Show will also be major highlights.

All fundraising benefits the Delta Community Animal Shelter’s Tollie Fund.

This fund allows the shelter to provide veterinarian assistance, behavior rehabilitation or other types of support to help Delta’s abandoned animals have a chance at a healthy adoption.

“We have some new vendors selling things that are animal related and some rescue organizations as well on hand with displays and information,” said Delta Community Animal Shelter manager Ryan Voutilainen. “There will be a lot of fun games for kids and lots of different things for the whole family. You are encouraged to bring your leashed dogs to the event, but we ask that you leave other pets and animals at home. Although we do like our cats, it’s just not the right setting to come too.”
