Over the weekend of April 25 to 28, students from Delta Secondary music department participated in the Whistler Cantando Music Festival.
Students took part in various workshops, concerts and took in the sights.
The DSS Concert Band competed on Saturday and was thrilled to receive a gold standing for its performance.
In the nine years DSS music teacher Catherine Campbell has been leading the group, this was the ensemble's first time entering a competitive festival. Students worked hard to prepare and are thrilled to receive such a high standing.
