An eclectic mix of South Delta performers will take the stage at this Saturday’s Wander Inn Café.

Scheduled to perform during the 7 p.m. show at the Lighthouse Church in Ladner are James Plante, Steve Gunter, Daniel Dupuis, Christine Magee, and Liz and Steve Alexander.

Plante has played the roles of Gaston, Mr. Banks and Curly in recent stage productions for Delta Youth Theatre and will be performing as Elvis in the upcoming Mini Divas and Crooners Show.

Singer/guitarists Gunter and Dupuis team to bring a mix of tunes from Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor, Beatles and influences from French rock, American blues and Brazilian music.

Magee, a singer, pianist, recording artist and GMA award winner, will bring an eclectic mix of soul, jazz, R&B and gospel tunes. While teaching piano, voice, guitar and ukelele full-time in her Tsawwassen studio, she is in the process of producing a new album with Saga recording studios in Vancouver.

Singer/percussionist Liz Alexander and singer/guitarist Steve Alexander continue to play shows for seniors and have added a segment called The Story Behind the Song. They will be performing music by Stephen Foster, Curtis Mayfield and the Golden Gate Quartet (with a special guest). Steve plans to have a give-away for his original CD.

Operating since 2014, the Wander Inn Café provides a venue for musicians/singers to perform while offering a warm and inviting atmosphere to patrons.

It’s an extension of the non-profit Freshwave Ministries, a South Delta-based Christian organization that serves marginalized people in Vancouver.

Entrance fee to Saturday’s event is a suggested $7 donation, which covers the beverages, goodies, supplies, entertainment and benefits Freshwave Ministries.
