“Essentially the ExRounds are practice rounds before the main tournament starts in February,” said Southpointe Academy drama teacher Greg Keen. “The top two teams from the Lower Mainland will travel to Ottawa in the spring to compete for the national championship. Teams choose four events out of five choices to perform and will be judged based on criteria set by the CIG. Although the format is competitive, it is actually a very collegial and collaborative event that has all performers onstage throughout observing and cheering the other schools.”

The CIG is a nationally registered charitable organization and they will be charging $5 at the door or on Eventbrite in advance to help support their work.
