Ladner’s Schara Taylor Chalmers is crowdfunding to help her music career.
Chalmers, 28, has been working on her debut album while also teaching music full-time.
She plans to release the debut single from her album in January on platforms like iTunes, Spotify and Soundcloud. The single, It’s Like Torture, is a breakup song, she notes.
Chalmers says she enjoys being able to express emotions and thoughts through music and have other people relate to it.
“It’s always been my passion.”
The Delta Secondary grad says she’s working with producer Chin Injeti on her album.
