There will be plenty of familiar scenery when ABC’s new crime thriller Big Sky premieres on Tuesday night at 10 p.m.

The David E. Kelly production was moved to Metro Vancouver after the initial plan to shoot in Albuquerque and Las Vegas was scrapped because of the pandemic.

Local locations include at a heritage home in the 4500 block of Arthur Drive in Ladner.

The series stars Kyle Bunbury (Cassie Dewell) and Ryan Phillipe (Cody Hoyt), Katheryn Winnick (Jenny Holt), John Carroll Lynch (Rick Legarski), Natalie Alyn Lind (Danielle Sullivan) and Jade Pettyjohn (Grace Sullivan).

Dewell and Hoyt are private detectives that join forces with his estranged wife Jenny to search for two sisters that have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote Montana highway. They later discover they are not the only girls that have disappeared in the area.

The series is based on the 2013 novel The Highway by C.J. Box.
