Rotarians giving Tsawwassen A Gift of Light

Tsawwassen’s Diefenbaker Park will be transformed into a beautiful light display to celebrate the holiday season this weekend.

The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen presents its annual A Gift of Light on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 3 to 5 p.m.More than 40 trees will be lit up with 25,000 lights in a spectacular display.

The event is more than just lights and will include entertainment on the main stage, cookie decorating, a special mailbox for children to send letters to Santa, face painters, balloon artist, marshmallow roasting and horse drawn carriage rides.

Santa will be arriving in a Delta fire truck and you will be able to walk down Candy Cane Lane to get you picture taken with St. Nick.

“This is a magical day for so many local South Delta residents,” said Rotarian Mitch Romano. “It kicks off the holiday season. It’s a free event for the entire family with no shortage of fun things to do. All the lights will be lit up in a spectacular display once it gets dark.”

The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen will be accepting donations of dry goods for the South Delta Food Bank.
