Looking for something to do with your kids during Spring Break? Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall has you covered.

The mall has two weeks of free drop-in activities for school-aged children starting Monday, March 18 and continuing to Friday, March 29. Parents and caregivers are asked to stay and supervise their children at all times. All activities take place inside the mall. Pre-registration is not required.

The first week (March 18 to 22) features Tae Kwon Do demo and mini class on Monday, a child ID meet and greet presented by the Delta police on Tuesday, Sunny Tsawwassen arts and crafts on Wednesday and an art party with Sublime on Thursday. All four days of activities run from 1 to 3 p.m. each day. The week wraps up with a presentation from OWL (Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society) on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m.

The second week (March 25 to 29) starts with a critter show and presentation from Mike’s Critters on Monday, fun with clay with the Delta Potters on Tuesday, an art party with Sublime on Wednesday, Gramma Penny’s Easter crafts on Thursday and cookie creations and colouring contest on Friday. All events run from 1 to 3 p.m. each day.

“We have been running these programs for about 16 years,” said mall promotions manager Shannon Taylor. “We invite these groups for free as an opportunity to promote their businesses and services and offer activities for children of the community.”
Taylor, who started the program when she took over the job at the mall, said the activity weeks get more and more popular every year.

“Mike’s Critters and OWL and Delta Potters are all very busy and popular events, but each event is fantastic,” she said. “We have been working with these groups year after year and many call me asking to come back before I even call them.”
