An upcoming fundraising gala will help shine a light on youth with developmental delays and their families.

Reach Child and Youth Development Society is holding its seventh annual Reach for the Stars gala on Saturday, June 1.

Since its inception in 2013, Reach for the Stars has raised $560,000 to support children and youth with developmental delays and their families. Major donor REALCO Properties joins presenting sponsors Global Container Terminals and Ocean Trailer to support the event. CAPTIN Toyota and the Sundowner Pub are platinum sponsors.

Reach for the Stars will be held at the Tsawwassen Springs with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. A cocktail reception and seated, three-course dinner as well as live and silent auctions are all part of the evening.

Steve Darling returns as MC, while music and dance performances from Reach program graduates will be highlights of the event. First-hand experiences from a Reach program family will be presented to raise awareness of the help available for children with special needs and the difference that it makes.

Tickets are $150 each and available online at www.reachgala.com or by calling 604-946-6622 ext. 0.

Those interested in helping Reach by donating a live or silent auction item, or volunteering on the night of the event, can contact Kristin at kristinb@reachchild.org or at 604-946-6622 ext. 367.
