Celebrity impersonator Bonnie Kilroe returns to South Delta this Friday for her one-woman show, Divas: Vegas Meets Vaudeville.

Kilroe, a professional and award-winning entertainer for more than 15 years, the last 10 of which she has dedicated to her one-woman act, is no stranger to South Delta audiences as she has played here several times.

She has been singing and strutting her stuff to local, national and international audiences in theatres, convention centres, casinos, cruise ships and elsewhere.

Divas: Vegas Meets Vaudeville is the latest of Kilroe’s one-woman-shows, which also include Country Queens and The Patsy Cline Tribute Show.

“It’s going to be a great show. With the dinner component as well it will have that Vegas dinner show vibe and I’ll be able to incorporate my video clips as well, so it’s going to be a lot of fun,” she said.

Kilroe combines medleys of music, video and physical comedy to produce a multimedia entertainment experience.

“The audience can expect to be possibly brought up on stage, they can expect to laugh a lot and hopefully forget their troubles for the night,” she said. “It’s always been my goal to make people feel good and to laugh at themselves and laugh at me as I try to do all these things on stage. I’m an impersonator, but I bring comedy to every act.”

She said the show is fast-paced with 21 costume changes throughout the evening.

“I love being able to travel with my show. I love meeting people,” she said. “The best part is how happy the people are after the show.”

Divas: Vegas Meets Vaudeville is set for Friday, Oct. 4 at the East Delta Hall. It’s being presented by Mr. Mom’s World Catering & Events, which has refurbished the hall into Delta’s newest entertainment venue.

Russell Pohl of Mr. Mom's World Catering & Events is the house cater and curator. He said all events at the hall will now include dinner.

“Some of our clients have said that tickets are a little high, but I think it’s important to note that casinos do not, for the most part, include dinner,” he said. “They also have a bigger seating capacity to lower the costs and in fact gather some monies from gambling dollars to put on their shows. Our seating capacity is 190.”

He said in 2020 they hope to include a shuttle from Ladner and North Delta. They have already booked Kelita Haverland for High Tea with a Twist next March and are in talks with Tony Barton, the Dueling Piano Kings, a burlesque show and a drag queen show.

Tickets are $95 for adults and $75 for seniors. They’re available at www.mrmomsworldspeaks.com or by calling 604-782-7298.

East Delta Hall is located at 10379 Ladner Trunk Rd.
