A Tsawwassen family has developed a zombiethemed collaborative card game.

Sharon Sutherland, Mark Meredith and two of their daughters, Darsey and Cailean, are behind Zombie Fight or Flight. The card game originated from a "Game Jam" event held at the family's home.

"We sat down trying to create collaborative games," says Sutherland, a mediator and conflict resolution trainer.

She started hosting Game Jams as a way to bring together professionals interested in using games to teach collaborative skills.

Zombie Fight or Flight was the game that got the most traction amongst participants at the last Game Jam in June as it was easy to learn and adaptable to different ages. The card game can be played with anywhere from two to eight players as they search for safety as a team.

"There are many, many ways you could die, it would appear," says Sutherland with a laugh.

Vancouver artist Rachel Petrovicz created the artwork for the game's deck of cards.

A Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign has been started for Zombie Fight or Flight. The basic level of support, $26, is required to get a copy of the card game.

The Kickstarter campaign closes Saturday, Nov. 26. It can be found here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1837579030/zombie-fight-or-flight.
