More COVID-19-related deaths reported in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island

FREDERICTON — Health officials in New Brunswick are reporting six COVID-19-related deaths in the province last week -- up from five the week previous.

FREDERICTON — Health officials in New Brunswick are reporting six COVID-19-related deaths in the province last week -- up from five the week previous. 

The weekly case data shows there were 797 positive PCR tests last week -- which was an increase after falling for four consecutive weeks.  

There are currently 21 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 -- a drop from 27 last week.  

Meanwhile, there has been another COVID-19-related death in Prince Edward Island.  

Health officials say the death involved a person between the ages of 60 and 79.  

There are currently 11 people in Island hospitals with COVID-19.
