Vancouver Police are asking for the public's help finding Kevin Aaron Hubbard who allegedly assaulted a Chinatown security guard on Aug. 12, 2022.

A B.C.-wide arrest warrant has been issued for the man accused in assaulting a beloved Chinatown security guard last month.

Vancouver Police are asking for the public's help to locate 44-year-old Kevin Aaron Hibbard after he failed to attend court in Vancouver Thursday (Sept. 8).

Hibbard was first arrested on August 12, the same day of the alleged assault on a 64-year-old security guard who was making his daily rounds near Columbia and Pender Street. A crowdfunding campaign has since raised money to help the victim

Upon his arrest, Hibbard was charged with assault and released by the courts until his next court appearance, which was supposed to happen yesterday.

Anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
