Last month's annual Chesapeake Landing charity golf tournament raised $950 for Delta Hospital, bringing the total since 2007 to almost $10,000.

Money raised this year will go towards the addition of the Peter C. Elizabeth Toigo Diagnostic Services Building, which will house expanded medical Imaging and laboratory facilities.

The tournament, which featured 38 golfers at Cove Links and 54 dinner guests, was organized by Don and Sally Phelps, Dale and Sandra Purcell, Henry Mackin and Sandra Moyls.

"We are so fortunate to have Delta Hospital in our community," says Don Phelps. "The hospital has been there for many of us at different times in our lives, and we were excited to be able to support the upcoming expansion and an exciting future for Delta Hospital."

The tournament received support from many local businesses, including the Aquilini Group (Golden eagle Golf Course), Bard on the Beach, Cove Links Golf Course and Tsawwassen Collision.

"We are delighted to have the support of the Chesapeake Landing tournament year after year," says Veronica Carroll, Delta Hospital Foundation's executive director. "The phenomenal support our hospital receives from this community really shows how much people value our hospital."

The Chesapeake Landing tournament is one of many community-led special events that have raised thousands of dollars to enhance patient care at Delta Hospital. Anyone
