A fall volunteer training program will take place at the Harold & Veronica Savage Centre for Supportive Care in Ladner starting Oct. 13, running Monday and Thursday mornings until Nov. 17. A pre-course interview will be scheduled so that participants will have a clear understanding of the course and the expected commitments.

Family Grief Group Program - Children & Parents: Dr. Heather Mohan, RCC, will be holding a Children's Grief Group for children 5 to 12 years old who are grieving the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent or other significant person. A Parent's Grief Group, facilitated by Marg Fletcher, RCC, will be held at the same time. The groups, starting Oct. 18, run on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00pm every other week throughout the school year. The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society runs a number of units within our hospital that provide services to patients and their families as well as staff. We are currently looking for volunteers skillful in office work, merchandizing for the Dogwood Gift Shop, and food services to coordinate the Courtyard Cafe. Volunteer Grandparents is a non-profit organization that does valuable work in the Lower Mainland, for families and the community.
