Join the Delta Naturalists for our meeting on Monday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Cammidge House on Boundary Bay in Tsawwassen. Our speaker this month is Dan Esler. Dan is a researcher and adjunct professor with the Centre for

Wildlife Ecology, SFU. He will be speaking on wildlife population responses to the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill: Two Decades of Research. He will be focusing on the most affected wildlife such as sea otters and sea ducks including harlequin ducks and Barrow's goldeneyes.This research offers lessons for potential risks associated with oil and gas development or transportation in similar environments, such as coastal British Columbia.
