Early bird registration for Delta's Relay For Life is available until the end of the month.
The annual Canadian Cancer Society event, which is in its seventh year in Delta, will be held at North Delta Secondary on Friday, June 15.
Each participant who registers by Jan. 31 pays the reduced entrance fee of $10 and gets automatically entered into a BC/Yukonwide draw to win an iPad.
This year's event will see teams of all ages come together for 12 hours of fun, friendship and fundraising, overnight, as they take turns walking around the track and participating in a variety of entertainment and activities.
"Relay isn't an athletic event," says Christine MacLeod, co-chair of the Delta organizing committee, "It's a fun, non-competitive and fulfilling experience for all ages that brings together family, friends, coworkers and communities to fight back against cancer."
Participants can sign up as an individual, a team captain or as a team member. Volunteers are also needed.
