Hanging basket sale benefits SDSS Dry Grad

South Delta Secondary Dry Grad is once again holding a hanging basket fundraiser. "It's been going on for many years and we have always had great support by parents, teachers and the community," says Ingrid Barnes, co-chair for the SDSS Dry Grad.

South Delta Secondary Dry Grad is once again holding a hanging basket fundraiser.

"It's been going on for many years and we have always had great support by parents, teachers and the community," says Ingrid Barnes, co-chair for the SDSS Dry Grad.

Hanging baskets, patio planters, strawberries and herbs are available to order. Prices range from $20 to $30.

Dry grad is all about providing graduating students with a memorable graduation celebration in an environment that is safe as well as free from drugs and alcohol, Barnes notes.

Organized by a parent committee, the event will be held at the South Delta Recreation Centre after the formal banquet and dance takes place in Vancouver.

There is no charge to the grad for the Dry Grad event as everything supplied for the night has been fundraised or created by the Dry Grad committee along with parent donations and the generous support of the business community, Barnes explains.

Order forms for the hanging basket fundraiser are available at the school office or can be found online at http: //sd.deltasd. bc.ca. (Click 'SDSS Dry Grad' under the 'Parents' drop down menu)

Order by May 3 for early bird prices.

Orders will be available for pick up on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Shpak & Company, 163156th St.

There will be a limited selection of plants available for same day sales. The cost will increase for the on-the day sales by $5.
