Family Fright Fest will get Ladner into the Halloween spirit tomorrow evening.

The free event, now in its fourth year, will run from 4: 30 to 7: 30 p.m.

One of the big attractions is the transformation (done by South Delta Secondary students) of the McKee Heritage House into a spooky haunted house.

"The haunted house is definitely a huge highlight, mainly because it's great to see youth giving back to the community," says Kelly Wilson, recreation program co-ordinator for the Corporation of Delta. "The students put so much time and effort into it."

SDSS teacher Paige Hansen says the haunted house will have a Madame McKee's Wax Museum theme to it this year.

Pat Rogers, who's involved in the event through the Ladner Business Association and the Delta Community Music School, says if the haunted house is too scary, there are a lot of other things to do in the vicinity.

"The idea is that it's for the whole family," she says.

The McKee Seniors' Recreation Centre will have trick or treat doors set up, craft activities, a Halloween movie playing in the background and story telling put on by Fraser Valley Regional Library at 6 and 7 p.m. The centre's Kee Café will be offering a $5 meal deal as well.

Next door the Wintemute Boys & Girls Club will have a mad scientist lab with games and activities.

There will also be inflatable rides in the back parking lot.

The Ladner Community Centre will be decorated and there'll be a mini haunted house for young kids.

Street activities will include live music, hayrides, crafts, Delta's Fire House and LBA Halloween displays.

. The haunted house will also be running from 6: 30 to 8: 30 p.m. on Friday.
