Ladner Business Association's always popular Breakfast with Santa returns on Saturday at the Ladner Community Centre.

A good way to start an early December Christmas shopping day is to get an early start - and that’s more easily done by getting to the Breakfast with Santa, at the Ladner Community Centre, on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and goes until 11. A plate of pancakes costs $5, while pancakes and ham is $7.

The cozy Christmas event has continued for more than 35 years.

“There are people that come out to this, they came when their children were small and now they’re coming with their grandchildren. It’s that much of a tradition,” said Valerie Miller, president of the Ladner Business Association.

Santa shows up at 8:15 a.m. Photos can be taken with Santa, plus there’s live entertainment, face painting and crafts.

Part of that tradition includes elected politicians taking turns in the kitchen or serving food. You could see your local Delta councillors, MLA or MP helping out with the breakfast.
