Holiday Bazaar supports Delta Museum

Handcrafted items, knitware, jewelry, decorations and more at annual event

Discover the joys of handcrafted crafts and treats at Delta Museum and Archives Society's classic Holiday Bazaar.

Beautiful handcrafted items, everything from knitware and jewelry to holiday decorations and homemade candies, are available at this year's bazaar.

The annual event will be held on Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days, at Kinsmen House, 5050-47th Ave. (next to the Ladner Pioneer Library).

The "Ladies of the Bazaar" organizers have been working hard all year in preparation for the sale. Taking great pride in their work, they have carefully refined their inventory over the years.

Bazaar attendees can expect to find a large selection of items for purchase.

In fact, some items are so popular they are often preordered.

You can find a perfect gift for that special someone on your list, while supporting a local Delta charity.

Admission is free and complimentary coffee, tea and cookies will be available for shoppers.

No fundraiser would be complete without a raffle. First prize for this year's bazaar is an attractive framed acrylic painting titled "Resting on the Banks of the Fraser" by local artist Kim Scott of Country Lane Gallery

Second prize is a lovely quilt ensemble in hues of golden beige and silveryblue, complete with pillow shams, bed skirt and decorative pillows. Third prize is a set of hand-carved craft shoes by Graham Townsend.

For a chance to win these beautiful prizes, raffle tickets can be purchased for $2 each or $3 for five.

For the past 30-plus years, funds generated from the annual bazaar have helped support the Delta Museum and Archives Society's efforts to preserve Delta's rich heritage and share the knowledge with the community.
