The top-seeded Vancouver Canucks open their first round National Hockey League playoff series against the L.A. Kings tonight at Rogers Arena. This marks the second time in three years Vancouver will take on Los Angeles in the first round, with the Canucks winning in six games in the 2009-10 playoffs. The Optimist asked:
Garry Brimson We've got to win it this year.
Andrew Eccleton I think they might make it to the Stanley Cup but they won't win it. They'll go far.
Ralph Bausenhaus [They'll beat] the Kings in five. That's all I know for now.
Denny Gooch I think they're going to have a tough first round and then if they make it through that first round I think they'll do OK. They'll learn from some of the experience from last year.
Sue Johnson Not great unless Daniel Sedin gets back into the lineup. I think the Kings might wipe them.
