The Kinsmen Club of Ladner – Tsawwassen would like to thank Thrifty Foods for their generous support as well as those who participated in their fundraiser by purchasing a dinner.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kinsmen Club of Ladner-Tsawwassen were forced to cancel their major fundraiser, “Crab and Corn Dinner” usually held in the fall.

To try to satisfy their disappointed supporters, the club decided to offer a Valentine Crab Dinner to be delivered anywhere in Ladner or Tsawwassen.

The dinner consisted of a fresh cooked Dungeness crab, potato salad, Greek salad, dinner bun and a fruit pie. The dinners, all 62 of them, were delivered despite the snow to our customers to enjoy a Valentine’s dinner at home.

The project was to raise funds for our Kinsmen Community Support program. Beneficiaries of this program include; Reach Child and Development, KinVillage, Delta Hospital, Christmas hampers, Delta Sundancers Teen Dance Club, bursaries to South Delta and Delta secondary schools, Kinsmen Foundation of BC, Cystic Fibrosis – BC, BC Special Olympics – Delta Branch, McKee Seniors Society, and Delta Housing Be Mine Society.

The Club would like to thank Thrifty Foods for their generous support as well as those who participated in our fundraiser by purchasing a dinner.
