Over 100 children took part in the second annual Imagine That summer arts camp last week at Cedar Park Church in Ladner.
From pre-school to age 13, the young students got hands-on experience in dance, creative writing, culinary arts, guitar, mixed media collage, painting, sketching, animation, drama, handmade gifts and photography.
To finish the camp experience, a gala celebration evening was held for family and friends to enjoy performances and a gallery showing of all the amazing art that was created.
The mission of Imagine That is to offer a quality arts program to kids in the community, introducing and encouraging interest in the arts with an opportunity to be mentored by artists active in their fields.
The time and energy put in by the professional art instructors and volunteers who helped out in so many important ways made for an inspiring week for everyone who participated.
Imagine That is offering a series of afterschool courses in culinary arts, photography, painting and sketching this fall. Visit http: //www.imaginethatartscentre.com or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for registration details.
