The Ladner Tennis Club is hosting its annual open house this Sunday, May 3 from noon to 4 p.m.
The club, which started in 1976, has become a tennis family in the community from its base at Hawthorne Park. Members have access to four courts throughout the week and have exclusive use of the courts during the club's priority times. Members also have exclusive use of the three courts under lights.
Amenities with the tennis club, besides the four courts and privacy/wind screening, include a clubhouse and sundeck.
If you need help improving your tennis skills, the club has a certified tennis instructor for private lessons.
The tennis club hosts several events, drop in times for doubles and singles, tennis ladders, tournaments and Saturday barbecues.
Those who might be interested in joining the club are invited to attend the open house. Snacks will be provided. Those attending are advised to bring their rackets.
