Community spirit and lots of Halloween fun are in store in Ladner Village.

Late last week, the fifth annual Ladner Village Scarecrow Contest launched with all business in Ladner Village invited to participate.

The contest is hosted once again by Angela's Boutique or Camille's Boutique & Gallery.

Businesses are encouraged to take part by creating a unique scarecrow and displaying it in or around their business. Their creations can be funny, quirky, scary or even represent their business, so long as it is made with love!

Locals and visitors are invited to walk through the Village, view the scarecrows and then vote for their favorite. There are two ways for the businesses to win. There is a winner and runner-up selected by the judges and a People’s Choice winner and runner-up selected by public vote.

To vote in the People's Choice category simply pop by Angela's or Camille's by Oct. 30.
