Soccer Shots Fraser Valley has teamed up with AutismBC to raise more than $9,000 to date for BC’s autism community.

This partnership will see $5 from every Soccer Shots FV summer registration donated to AutismBC to continue supporting autism initiatives across the province.

“As Soccer Shots FV aligns with AutismBC’s mission to build more inclusive and accepting communities, we were honoured to be approached for their charitable initiatives,” said Julie Engleson, Development Coordinator of AutismBC.

AutismBC has been providing programs and services to the autism community since 1975. Last year they supported more than 6,000 people throughout British Columbia.

“We are so excited about this partnership and being able to give back to our local communities”, said Andy Abreo, President of Soccer Shots Fraser Valley. “We are thankful this has given us the opportunity to learn and grow as a team by furthering our education on Autism.”

The partnership began in April for Autism Acceptance Month and extends until the end of June when summer registration closes. Soccer Shots FV are also offering families the opportunity to add a donation to AutismBC when they register.

Soccer Shots FV Summer Sessions run from the end of June to the end of August for kids ages two to eight. Programs are in various locations in North Delta, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Langley, Maple Ridge, Mission, Pitt Meadows, and Surrey. Visit soccershots.org/fraservalley for specific locations and dates.
