The Delta branch of the Stroke Recovery Association of B.C. is piloting a music therapy course throughout November.

Two sessions between 10: 30 a.m. and 12: 30 p.m. are taking place on Thursdays at the Delta Community Music School in Ladner. They are led by music therapist Amber Spitovski and are available to the public in addition to stroke recovery branch members.

The sessions are broken up in two to keep the groups small.

The power of music has been proven to improve communication skills for those who have suffered brain damage.

As the sessions have been warmly received, there is a possibility of extending the program beyond the end of the month.
