The TOOBs have been busy in the community lately helping Reach Child and Youth Development Society raise money for its capital building campaign.

Reach is raising $4 million to build a development centre in Ladner for children with special needs.

In November, TOOBs president Greg Watts presented Reach with a cheque for $1,000, proceeds from their work at the concession for the Tsawwassen Outdoor Movie Night at the Town Centre Mall this past summer.

In October, TOOBs volunteers helped Reach raise over $6,000 at their Making Magic Happen fundraising event by preparing a tasty and nutritious lunch food for over 200 guests.

"We are most grateful for the continued support of the TOOBs service club," says Reach executive Director Renie D'Aquila, "and for their years of hard work benefitting children and families in our community."

Reach is a non-profit charitable organization that has been helping children and families since 1959, supporting the development of children throughout all stages of childhood.

Programs and services include developmental assessments, preschools, therapies, autism intervention programs, youth social programs, and family support and education.

A new 20,000-squarefoot facility on the edge of Memorial Park will provide increased access and more space for Reach's programs to grow and better meet the needs of more than 3,000 children with special needs in the community.
