Tsawwassen Rotarians host shred-a-thon

Proceeds from the event will go to support Rotary projects in the community

The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen will be holding a Shred-A-Thon this Saturday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Delta Baptist Church parking lot.

Have documents you need shredded? The Tsawwassen Rotary Club can do that for you and in the process, help fund a number of community projects.

The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen will be holding a Shred-A-Thon this Saturday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Delta Baptist Church parking lot.

The suggested minimum donation is $20 per bankers box or equivalent.

Proceeds from the event will go to support Rotary projects in the community.

These events include: The Gift of Light community Christmas event, Story Walk, where each month Rotary places a new story at Beach Grove Elementary via the Story Walk, which was installed in the summer of 2021.

Peace Day is another community project, whereby Rotary presents peach awards to deserving citizens in our community, as well, youth projects including the Interact Club at South Delta Secondary, little libraries, located throughout Tsawwassen and maintained by Rotarians and seniors projects where Rotary reaches out and provides lunches and assistance throughout the year.

Rotary also supports the Food Bank, Deltassist and a number of international projects in India, Mexico and Africa.
