Joys of gardening

Join in on a free gardening class – April plantings for summer veggies at 11:30 a.m. this Friday, April 22 at the KinVillage Community Centre.

Spring and early summer are busy times in the garden. Rhiannon will help you learn what to plant now and how to plant properly on your balcony, yard or community garden ploy. You will come away with the knowledge to plant, grow and harvest vegetables, such as peas, beans, greens, beets, the onion family, root veggies, herbs, tomatoes and carrots.

Wander Inn Café

The Wander Inn Café is back on Saturday night.

Come enjoy an evening of wonderful music and fellowship from 7 to 10 p.m. at Lighthouse Church in Ladner (5545 Ladner Trunk Road).

Entertainment includes The Plaidberries and Friends (Maribel & Dave Karmazyn with John & Blythe Montgomery, Lloyd Samson and James Plante) and featured performers Kindred Spirits (Daryle Sherman & Nicole Grazier).

Quiz Night

Quiz Night is back at KinVillage this Saturday, April 23.

Teams of four cost $40 per team. The cash bar opens at 6:30 p.m. with the quiz starting at 7 p.m. Enter your team by calling 604-943-0225 or register at reception at KinVillage between 9 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.

Spectators are also welcome at a fee of $5.

High school musicals

The Addams Family at SDSS’s Equinox Theatre continues with shows at 7 p.m. on April 21, 22 and 23 with a Saturday April 23 matinee at 1 p.m.

Tickets are available online, reserved seating only at Eventbrite.ca (SDSS Addams Family).

At Delta Secondary, Little Shop of Horrors runs April 21 to 23 and April 28 to 30 at Genesis Theatre. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., with the show starting all nights at 7 p.m. Tickets are $22 in advance or $25 at the door, available online at: https://de.deltasd.bc.ca/programs-courses/theatre/.
