Smile at the Fringe Fest

Ladner's Isabella Halladay plays Brenda Freelander, one of the puppets in Awkward Stage Production's play Smile. The fast-paced and funny musical satire will be staged at the Vancouver International Fringe Festival, which runs from Sept. 8 to 18.

The South Delta Artists' Guild's seventh annual juried Oil & Water exhibition is running this month at the spruced up Tsawwassen Longhouse Gallery. Guild vice-president Lennart Osterlind says there were 104 submissions and 71 of those are on display.
