The Ladner Community Kitchen is getting ready to host its eighth annual Community Christmas Dinner. The event brings together patrons of the South Delta Food Bank along with their families to celebrate the season with dinner, music and carol singing.

The recent $30,000 upgrade of the TV screen projector, wiring and other features in the media room at Augustine House seniors’ residence in Ladner was supported in part by the Delta Foundation.

Operation Red Nose is celebrating its 16th year in Delta and Richmond with an official kick-off next week. The public is welcome to attend an event on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.

A special gathering will be held next week to reach out to those who are apprehensive about coping with the upcoming holiday season and other special occasions.
