The Delta Hospital Foundation recently accepted a gift of $3,500 from the North Delta Lions Club to go towards the purchase of a Plinth table for use in Delta Hospital's busy rehabilitation department.

Thrive City String Boot Camp has become an annual opportunity thanks to the support of the Delta Community Music School and individuals and businesses in the community. Thrive City, with its focus on string instruments, has two parts.

CLUBS AND GROUPS Delta Photo Club meets on Wednesday, April 26, for Digital Display Night. Opportunities are plentiful as there is always something to learn from other's images. DPC assembles Wednesdays at KinVillage Community Centre at 7 p.m.

Exhibitors will provide hands-on introduction

For the past year, residents of City Homes in Tsawwassen have been saving their recyclables in order to raise money towards the Delta Special Olympics soccer program. To date, nearly $500 has been raised for new nets and soccer balls.

Cea Sunrise Person, the author of two memoirs about her counterculture upbringing, North of Normal and Nearly Norma l, is coming to Ladner.

The Ladner Lawn Bowling Club is hosting its annual open house this Saturday. This is a special year for the club as it has several events planned to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The open house will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.

Forty-one Delta students from grades 6 to 12 gathered at South Delta Secondary last Wednesday to participate in the district finals of the Concours d'art oratoire, a national French public speaking competition held annually by the non-profit group Ca
