Delta police Chief Neil Dubord will be the guest speaker at a Probus Club of South Delta meeting next Wednesday. The group is a nonprofit, fellowship club for retired and semi-retired professional and business people.

CLUBS AND GROUPS Diabetes Self-Management is a free six-week workshop at Delta Manor Education Centre on Thursday evenings, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Healthy eating, exercise, dealing with stress and difficult emotions are discussed.

The Ambassadors-Tsawwassen Toastmasters welcomed 19 guests to a recent open house at the Rose and Crown Pub that featured a trio of inspiring speeches.

The Deltassist Dynamos will be joining the Walk for Possibility next month and need some support from the community. The second annual Walk for Possibility, in support of the United Way of the Lower Mainland, is set for Thursday, March 2.

A local dancer is preparing to take the stage for a special ballet performance. Kayla Malanfant, a Grade 12 student at Delta Secondary, will be performing in the Royal Academy of Dance Solo Seal award this week.
