The Probus Club of South Delta, a non-profit, fellowship club for retired and semi-retired professional and business people will hold its regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at The Coast Tsawwassen Inn.

Doreen Ferguson got a big surprise on her 102nd birthday last Friday. A group of Delta firefighters dropped by the Waterford seniors' residence in Tsawwassen to join in on the singing of Happy Birthday to help Ferguson celebrate the occasion.

The medical imaging department at Delta Hospital has two new ergonomically sound ultrasound stretchers and it has the Delta Hospital Auxiliary to thank. Late last month, the stretchers, at a cost of $11,500, were delivered to the hospital.

The Rotary Club of Ladner generated $20,000 through its 11th annual calendar sales project, proceeds that will support the new Rotary Club of Ladner splash park in Ladner's Memorial Park.

An event is planned in Point Roberts next month to mark World Interfaith Harmony Week. The week is designated by the United Nations and falls annually on the first week of February.
